1.01 SUMMARY
	Aluminum Ships Ladder including ladder, handrail.

1.02 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
	A. The system is an aluminum ladder designed to be permanently attached
	    top and bottom. Pitches from 60° - 75° as measured from the horizontal
	    are available.

1.03 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING.
	A. Examine ladder when it arrives on site. Notify the carrier and manufacturer
	    of any damage.
	B. Store ladder until installation under roof, if possible; or, if stored outside,
	    under a tarp or suitable cover.

1.05 WARRANTY
	The unit carries a limited warranty of one (1) year against defective material
	and workmanship, covering parts only, no labor or freight. Defective parts,
	if deemed so by the manufacturer, will be replaced no charge, freight excluded,
	upon inspection at manufacturer's plant which warrants same.

1.06 MAINTENANCE
	A. Under normal usage, the ladder shall require no preventive maintenance.
	B. No "spare parts" shall be required.

PART 2: PRODUCTS

2.01 MANUFACTURER

2.02 MATERIALS
	A. LADDER
	1. Stringers (Siderails) shall be Aluminum channel 5" X 2" X 3/16" (6005-T5).
	2. Treads shall be extruded aluminum (6005-T5) Aluminum channel 5 3/16" X 2'-6".
	3. Mounting Bracket
	4.1 Floor 2" X 3" X 1/4" aluminum angle.
	5.2 Top 4 3/4" X 2" aluminum 5" angle.
	
	B. HANDRAIL
	1. 1 1/4" Schedule 40 Aluminum pipe (6061 T-6).
	2. External aluminum fittings.

C. SAFETY
	Deeply serrated aluminum channel treads (standard) both welded and bolted
	to stringer.

D. MANUFACTURED UNITS
	The ships ladder is a Model SL**. (** Total vertical height of ladder in inches)

E. OPTIONS
	1. Tread width as required to 4'-0" (Over 4'-0" consult representative).
	2. Finish options include primed for field painting, enamel painted, anodized,
	    powder-coat.
	3. Top rail safety textured.
	4. Custom design rail.
	5. Tread material options include checkered plate and various grating material.
	    Flat treads may be covered with non-skid cover.

F. FABRICATION
	1. Ladder is completely fabricated ready for installation before shipment to the site.
	2. Handrail components are completely fabricated ready for field assembly to the
	    ladder before shipment to the site.

G. FINISHES
	1. Mill finish on aluminum components.

H. SOURCE QUALITY CONTROL
	1. All products inspected at factory in ISO 9002 certified environment.
